Too quiet— I had my audio at 100% in a fairly still area but could barely hear the words. The timing of the audio at the end is slightly off with the last word, too. Does that deter me from giving five stars? No, it does not. The animation style excels with this theme. The poetry is lovely (tho sad, of course). My favorite part of the video is the thumbs up that was like, "Thanks for the help. Good bye." Relatable.

Satire that feels incredibly relevant. It works especially well as a fictional, small-island
country. The dialogue is stuck in my head.

My only complaint is that the description needlessly links to repulsive sites.

Simple game of timing jumps. It's kind of meditative, with satisfying sound effects.

The guys look sexy. The flying eggplants and running sprites in the menu are cute and funny. But after the introductory "have SOME FUN" or even earlier, I'm getting errors from uploads.ungrounded.net: like "out of memorry" and "out of bounds" plus messages that are vaguer. This is supposedly a five-minute demo, but I only get essentially a one-minute ad for Patreon.

XlyphBara responds:

Uh definitely gotta check the errors, also I'm gonna double check the time since I'm expanding the main area, I'll be working on that, thank you!

the game is updated! check it out!

Fun to play! I was surprised to make it to Level 50 on my first try, because the original Nintendo game wouldn't last more than a few levels for me. All the characters are fabulous, too. I'm happy overall to have collaborated on this game. Thanks, sebulant and everyone else who drew the heads!

I feel that Beethoven would enjoy this. One quibble is that doesn't conjure a promenade or any scene of people outside. It sounds more like... a domestic drama?

"Space Jumping" is my title suggestion. The shifts in the music remind me of those people who climb up walls to jump off balconies like modern ninja in training. There's the bold confidence than the tentative steps then the running.

BallinFatty responds:

I like it. Honestly didn't think anyone would ever try to rename this. Thanks for your review and title suggestion

This music has a strong Halloween vibe perfect for the Spooktacular contest. Traditional Russian elements were a fitting addition. The sounds that evoke a vampiric connection also go well with the image in your author comments.

By the way, can you tell us more about that image? Was it painted for this song?

V-Future responds:

He is my original character Vaarzuleth, he's the brand behind this kind of music which sounds Gothic, Soviet and Futuristic at the same time. I have another 2 OC's: His daughter Sailyn and his wife Jezabelle. With Sailyn I make Kawaii music with chinese/japanese vibes and with Jezabelle I make harder music like Hardstyle, Dubstep, Psytrance, etc. And yes, they are villains, except for the child, she doesn't know what's really happening. I'm fixing Sailyn's songs right now, I will re-upload them soon.

I like these character illustrations! Because you're asking for feedback in the forums, I figure you'll appreciate nitpicks: several details feel off. The pants look strangely stretched in one spot near the bottom right (from the viewer's perspective). The left knee should be a little more prominent with how that foot turns in and up. The belt could be thicker, with lines coming out a little from the sides, instead of being 2D against the hips. The pinky finger on the left side shouldn't be so separate from the next finger— my suggestion is to break the darker interior line there. That's pretty much all I can find to improve.

Spatium responds:

Ayy fair enough I always have a hard time drawing clothes. Will take this into consideration for the next time I draw them/characters with saggy pants. Thanks for the feedback!

I love the variety of textures and originality. Another layer for the fingers could put the rose in the palm of the hand, which I think would look better with the hand position. The robot overall appears to be holding the rose, not reaching for it.

I'm frontpaging this for Takeover Tuesday because it's cool.

Constantly working on a hundred+ things, mostly offline. Misses the days of post draft previews. Might need reminders about promises made. Appreciates project contracts, esp. when a deadline or contributor copy is involved. Could use more money and books.
