I knew about her excessive jet rides. That joke made sense (sadly). I had to look up if there was any real connection to Starbucks or littering. And, yeah, wow. Starbucks partner. In the news for trash frequently littering the outside of one of her "homes". (The trash likely didn't come Swift directly; but she's not stopping or cleaning up the litter in an area she's legally responsible for maintaining.) Anyhow, the little tottering steps in heels was funny. Good satire.

So this pilot episode... I'm not sure what its series would be about. I guess a buddy slice-of-life dark comedy drama. Tonally, the pilot is confusing, and I feel like that's from weaknesses in the script editing plus (less important in a pilot than the writing is, in my opinion) the mismatches in visual styles. There was a moment with a talking hat that felt like a bad attempt to get out of animatingβ€” back of the head would have been better. The casual sexism and frequent cussing through the show are off-putting, along with the violent deaths. The characters both seem like middle schoolers. How old are they supposed to be, going out on their own to a night club while not knowing how to talk to strangers? They don't particularly appeal to meβ€”tho there were a few good moments that kept me watching. I like the earnestness and honesty of the mouse. His(?) father's awkward queerphobia suggests there's much more going on with their dynamic. The tail-less dog(?) learning a little how to be friend gave my heart a tug, so good job catching up suckers like me with that. Sadly, I can't say I like the visual character designs. What is Clay? He's a main character, but he's the only animal that looks like nothing recognizable. The noses being like pupils of a lost third eye and their shifting around far too much were annoying; I'm not sure I'd get used to that. Apparently, that's not so big a distraction for other viewers.

The kiddies kicked out the tyrant frog. XD I like their little voices.

Fun to play! I was surprised to make it to Level 50 on my first try, because the original Nintendo game wouldn't last more than a few levels for me. All the characters are fabulous, too. I'm happy overall to have collaborated on this game. Thanks, sebulant and everyone else who drew the heads!

This music has a strong Halloween vibe perfect for the Spooktacular contest. Traditional Russian elements were a fitting addition. The sounds that evoke a vampiric connection also go well with the image in your author comments.

By the way, can you tell us more about that image? Was it painted for this song?

V-Future responds:

He is my original character Vaarzuleth, he's the brand behind this kind of music which sounds Gothic, Soviet and Futuristic at the same time. I have another 2 OC's: His daughter Sailyn and his wife Jezabelle. With Sailyn I make Kawaii music with chinese/japanese vibes and with Jezabelle I make harder music like Hardstyle, Dubstep, Psytrance, etc. And yes, they are villains, except for the child, she doesn't know what's really happening. I'm fixing Sailyn's songs right now, I will re-upload them soon.

This is fun to listen to!

This overall makes me think of a busy city street after a quick downpour of rain.

Hard to see on the black background.

Kilprel responds:

Yeah it can be an issue with my color pic, could've done a slightly lighter grey. On my computer screen it's pretty visible but I do have my contrasts slightly off I think >w>

Love her dress and smile, like she's enjoying showing off her goods (the barrel, boots, cand garb (because someone would have made them)) and services.

The disjointed shoulder is freaky. I love this overall art style, tho.

MelodyMSG responds:

Thank you, now I can't unsee it lol. Appreciate the critique tho-

I remember life in the '80s and '90s. It wasn't simpler times. Anyhow, I'm now mostly doing pixel art and illustrations. My goal for 2025 is to create a fantasy visual novel for ages 17+ (or only for me depending how the real world goes).
