The lyrics from MGMT's "Kids" was a surprise. I think it's been years since I heard that song. Theme-wise, the closing song fits. I'm just not sure why it's uncredited. This was my first Bridge Kids episode, so I don't know if that's the way episodes usually end, either. With a random joke? The characters don't seem like they should be wandering around unsupervised, but at least they seemed kind of nice, trying to take care of each other. Then the sudden aggression toward the guy sleeping under the underpass ruined any endearment I felt toward the kid with braces. Let's hope he learns a lesson from his infected leg....

Ah, yes, a cautionary tale about hyperfixation in niche fandoms. Very good.

I like the concept and some of the references to famous artwork. This video could have been super fun. Effort obviously went into it. Too bad most of the artists were terrified of drawing a romantic or considerate scene.

This music has a strong Halloween vibe perfect for the Spooktacular contest. Traditional Russian elements were a fitting addition. The sounds that evoke a vampiric connection also go well with the image in your author comments.

By the way, can you tell us more about that image? Was it painted for this song?

V-Future responds:

He is my original character Vaarzuleth, he's the brand behind this kind of music which sounds Gothic, Soviet and Futuristic at the same time. I have another 2 OC's: His daughter Sailyn and his wife Jezabelle. With Sailyn I make Kawaii music with chinese/japanese vibes and with Jezabelle I make harder music like Hardstyle, Dubstep, Psytrance, etc. And yes, they are villains, except for the child, she doesn't know what's really happening. I'm fixing Sailyn's songs right now, I will re-upload them soon.

This is fun to listen to!

This overall makes me think of a busy city street after a quick downpour of rain.

I like the character drawings. I dislike how they're mismatched with the title, which looks like a scan of a metallic book cover or card that could look cleaner with a digital redraw.

Tele-Pathetic responds:

This is helpful, thanks! :)

I love the face. This character seems fun. The overall colors are fun. What I'm not pumped up about: At first I thought the lines were blood vessels. Looking again, that wouldn't make sense. Blood vessels don't grow in that pattern. So then I guessed scars. But thinking about more, they've got to be blood vessels. Anyhow, I like the clothes; slightly suggestive of a snake.

JArtist88 responds:

It's supposed to be blood flowing through his veins.

Gorgeous, and creative! I especially love her hair and the glow effects.

There was a technical problem you might want to know about . The image was extremely slow to load for me. Maybe the file size is too big? I'm not sure everyone would wait for the lady to appear.

LIAVI responds:

Oh thank you!
Being honest, I didn't expect to see a comment on something as old as this piece... but in regards to the file size (iirc), yeah it's probably a bit big for what it's worth -w-

Was a '80s and 90s kid. I'm mostly doing pixel art and story illustrations, posted randomly with notes. My preferences are for speculative fiction, characters fighting for their loves, and magical guys gaily kissing.
